COURSE OVERVIEW

We are living through a metaphysical leveling of life and coarsening of society that ensues from a collective loss of soul. We are trapped in the literal realm, where any issue can divide people and most have become unable to imagine the unity of the world.

As the gap between culture and nature widens and life becomes more polarized, it is the way of the soul that is missing and desperately needed in order to heal the divisions and make things whole again. Soul is the connecting principle and the unifying factor; when everything breaks down, soul knows where to go and how to reconnect.

The soul is another kind of body, a subtle body that unites spirituality and physicality and connects a person to their reason for being and their way of contributing to ongoing creation. When enough people awaken to the inherent purpose and meaning in their own lives, a collective awakening can occur that shifts the levels of meaning as well as alters the course of history.

Soul is the light concealed in darkness, the divine connection hidden in the heart of each individual and the secret way to the hidden unity of the world.

PART 1 - TWO AGREEMENTS OF THE SOUL

Our original agreement with life involves the inner dream of our soul and the unique pattern that brought us into being in the first place. The soul’s second agreement involves accepting the world as we find it and learning to negotiate with life’s inevitable dramas.

Our true guide is the deepest image in our soul, the divine spark, core imagination and renewing force of our being. The real struggle has always been to become that which we already are at our heart’s core. We are either becoming a greater vessel for imagination and the flow of creation or we are shrinking from our intended life.

We are never far from our original agreement and divine connection although it often seems the farthest thing from us. Recalling the soul’s original agreement provides at least a temporary return to a sense of the underlying unity of life. The most genuinely human moments are moments in which the soul awakens to its original dream of life.

PART 2 - THE RETURN OF RITUAL

Two ancient ways of entering the moment more deeply, and touching the hidden unity of life, were the timeless paths of story and the mysterious intricacies of ritual and art.
